Can The Average Joe Still Make Money On The Internet?

I’ve been hearing a lot of grumbling lately from folks who say the average person can not make money on the Internet any longer. I only have one thing to say to these people. What a load of bull! I know people who are getting into Internet Marketing or promoting their own goods who are dong very well. And yes, I still see those who make a lot of money on the Internet. But, I guess it’s just the difference in how these negative people define a ‘lot of money’ and how I do. I know plenty of people who are pulling down more than 10k per month of off a few dinky websites. I don’t know about you, but in my book, that’s a lot of money!

The nice thing is, it’s a business a lot of folks can do if they’d only put the time and right amount of effort into it. What do I mean by ‘right amount of effort?’ Well, and I was guilty of this too, many people get into this business and think they’re going to kill it right off the bat. And after a few months when it doesn’t happen, they give up on what they were working on and start chasing the next pot of Gold. Then, after a few more months of not making any money, they give up on that and chase something else or give up altogether. This is typical for 95% of the people who get into Internet Marketing in my opinion.

Building an online business is pretty much the same as building an offline business. You have to put the time, effort and money into it to make it pay off. My first website took over 18 months to make a $100. My second and third websites took nearly 2 years before they were making more than $100 per month. Then, each month after they continued to make more as long as I worked on them. Then, at some point I realized I was making enough money month after month to kiss my day job goodbye, and my boss!

I haven’t looked back either. It still takes time and effort. Even today, when I start a website, I expect it to take between 1 and 2 years before it makes money. So don’t get in any hurry. I see way to many people give up when their websites were on the verge of making money. Sure, there are a lot of scams out there and programs promising you thousands of dollars overnight. But as the old saying goes, if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. There are also a lot of good systems out there that teach beginners how to do it right. One of these is the Keyword Academy.

So what are you waiting for? Or do you have something else more important than your future to work on?

Some Good Money Making Ideas

Some Good Money Making Ideas

Anyone using the Internet will at some point ask himself if there is a way of making money. Of course there are a lot of different money making ideas out there on the Internet. Money ideas can be as simple as selling something on Ebay or Amazon such as unwanted items from ones home or as complicated as Internet marketing and selling female insurance.

The fact is, there are 1000s of money making ideas online that can be explored. That is not to say that they all work or make you a millionaire overnight. Far from it. In fact, there isn’t such a thing as a quick money making scheme or become a millionaire overnight. How can there be? Everyone would do it. So therefore realise that there are just as many money making scams as there are legitimate ways of making money online.

I found that the valid money ideas tend to require a certain amount of time a day. Anything from 20 minutes to several hours per day. Often more time will have to be spent at the beginning to get the ball rolling but in the long run a nice steady passive income can be built up.

What do we mean by passive income? Passive income is money flowing into your bank account every month without having to do anything. Well not quite anything but almost nothing. This could be dividends from shares or investments for example.

However, there are other ways. For example, having a website like this allows you to participate in Internet marketing for example. This is actually much easier than it sounds like and there are millions of people doing it, most of them not computer literate at all.

Most importantly, whatever activity you may engage in, it is important that you fully inform yourself first of what it entails, how much it initially costs, how many hours you have to put into it and what the expected return is. Go with a proven method that demonstrates to you how it was done and that it can easily be done again and again. You don’t want a once only solution – these are normally scams. You want something that you can build up at your own pace and will steadily increase your income with minimal maintenance.

Do You Need a Money Making Opportunity?

A lot of websites out there present various ideas about how to make money, from selling things on ebay to writing freelance articles for pennies per word.  But how do you separate the scams and the hype from the genuine opportunities?  How do you know what is worth pursuing and what is really not?

Well after doing a fair bit of real world research, I can confidently tell you that you do not want to work from home stuffing envelopes.  There is a system out there by which you can get paid to do this, and the work is actually real, but the real hourly wage that you will experience is so low as to make this practically a scam.  Unless you have a dozen trained robots that require no maintenance and can do your bidding for you, don’t try to go this route.  Of course, if you have a dozen robots that can stuff envelopes, then you have other ways you can make real money, no?

For a real money making opportunity, I found two systems to actually generate real coin for me: one is what I mentioned earlier about writing freelance articles.  I have made over 50 bucks per day doing this, but it is not much fun.  You have to sit there and write type like a madman and it can be quite grueling.  If you have the television on or you are trying to multitask then you are not going to pull in 50 bucks per day.  It takes hard work to produce the income, but if you can type fast and concentrate, the money is quite real.

The other opportunity I found was to build up my own web properties, add articles to them, promote them heavily, and then run advertising on them.  This has worked well for me but it has been a long journey of several years that was anything but easy work.
